A new bill in Victoria, Australia proposes "police power to confiscate crypto assets from criminals"


New laws aimed at cracking down on organised crime in the state of Australia were tabled in Parliament on Tuesday, according to a statement from Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews. It is reported that the bill will give the Victorian police in Australia new powers to seize cryptocurrencies and digital assets from criminals and force crypto platforms to hand over suspects’ information.
