U.S. increases reward to $10 million for North Korean crypto hacking information
The U.S. State Department has vowed to provide up to $10 million to anyone who provides valuable information that could be used to fight a North Korean cryptocurrency hacking group. This amount is double the bounty previously committed in March 2022. Chainalysis estimates that North Korean cybercriminals have stolen nearly $400 million in digital assets in 2021 alone, as the funds come mainly from exchanges and investment firms.
